Dear Members and Friends,

We are pleased to share that the recent Annual Meeting in Bari was a great success. The joint congress of the SIC and ESS brought together nearly one thousand participants, offering a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with our Italian colleagues. The international faculty was outstanding, and the sessions on endocrine surgery, colorectal surgery, and surgical education were particularly well-received.

During the General Assembly, Dr. Vinod Kumar Singhal from Dubai was elected as the new President of the Society and will also serve as the President of the 2026 ESS Congress.

We are currently planning our next Annual Meeting, which is scheduled to take place in Dubai in October-November 2026. Further details and decisions will be communicated in due course.

It is also my pleasure to welcome a group of new members from Ukraine and Italy to our Society. We are delighted to see our community growing and becoming even more diverse.
